About this Event
The Japan Chapter of Columbia Venture Community (CVC) is pleased to invite you to a virtual session with Akihiko Soyama, President and CEO at LINK-J. He will share his work experience to date and LINK-J’s efforts in generating life science innovations in Nihonbashi, Tokyo as well as innovation trends.
In this virtual session, we will touch on the following topics:
- Professional experience that led him to the current position at LINK-J
- How LINK-J is building a life science hub in the Nihonbashi area, Tokyo Japan
- Innovation trends in life science
If you're interested in learning about innovations in life sciences in Japan, please make sure to attend this event!

Columbia Venture Community (CVC) Japan Chapterでは、LINK-J常務理事の曽山明彦氏をお招きし、オンラインセッションを開催します。本セッションでは、日本橋でライフサイエンス・イノベーションを創出するためのLINK-Jの取り組みや、イノベーションのトレンドについて、曽山氏にご自身の経験を交えてお話し頂きます。
本オンラインセッションでは、以下のトピックに触れます。

- LINK-Jによる日本橋ライフサイエンスハブ構築の取り組み

Akihiko Soyama
President and CEO, LINK-J (Life Science Innovation Network Japan)
Aki has been President and CEO of LINK-J since its foundation in 2016. Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Director at METI (GOJ), project manager at Boston Consulting Group in Tokyo, Vice President/General Manager at Johnson and Johnson Japan, President at Biotronik Japan and President at Haemonetics Japan. Aki holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BS (Physics) from University of Tokyo. Aki also serves as a specially appointed Professor of Tohoku University and life science related committee member of MHLW (GOJ), METI (GOJ), AMED(GOJ), Kobe City, Sapporo City, etc.

東京大学理学部物理学科卒業後、通商産業省（現経済産業省）入省。人事院長期在外研究員として米国コロンビア大学ビジネススクールに留学（MBA）。（株）ボストンコンサルティンググループのマネージャー、トランス・コスモス（株）専務取締役を経て、ジョンソン・エンド・ジョンソン（株）ヴァイスプレジデント、複数の欧米系医療機器企業の日本法人社長を歴任。東北大学特任教授。厚生労働省、経済産業省、AMED、神戸市、札幌市の委員会メンバー等を務める。

Columbia Venture Community(CVC) Japanは、Columbia Venture Community(CVC)のリージョナルチャプターとして、日本におけるアントレプレナーシップやイノベーションの推進をミッションに、2020年に発足しました。その活動やコミュニティを通じて、日本のアントレプレナーシップ・エコシステムに貢献することを目指します。
