Q&A with Ken Moritsugu

The Columbia Lions Club of Japan (CLCJ), in coordination with the Columbia University Alumni Association of Japan (CUAAJ), would like to invite you to the first official CLCJ event of 2014. The event will be a presentation and Q&A session with Mr. Ken Moritsugu, who recently took over as the Japan Bureau Chief for The Associated Press. The event will start at 19:00 (reception begins at 18:30) on Thursday, February 6th, at SMBC/Promise Service Plaza in Shibuya (next to Yamada Denki). He has returned to Japan after some very unique experiences and will initially talk to us about the AP organization, as well as about some of his experiences working in many countries. I believe he will have some interesting insights into how norms for the media world vary in different cultures.  He will then open up for a Q&A session. We will move the event to a nearby restaurant (TBD) for further networking and dinner as the venue shuts down at 8pm. Mr. Moritsugu will be accompanied by his wife, Carmen, who may have some insights of her own. She is a Columbia University/SIPA graduate, as well as a Princeton graduate.
