About this Event
The Japan Chapter of Columbia Venture Community (CVC) is pleased to invite you to a virtual session with Namiko Kajiwara, Founder & CEO at Seasons of Life, a global brand strategy agency and executive coaching company. Over the course of her career, Namiko has spent 10 years in Tokyo Japan and another 10 years in the U.S. (the Bay Area + New York City) as a corporate innovator at Unilever & Kirin, a Stanford MBA student, a venture capitalist at World Innovation Lab (WiL), VP of Product at Bokksu (an eCommerce startup), and an entrepreneur. During this session, she will share lessons learned from those professional experiences and the journey to become an entrepreneur and executive coach in New York City.

Namiko Kajiwara | Founder and CEO, Seasons of Life
Namiko is an innovator, creator, and advisor to entrepreneurs. Her deepest experience, knowledge, and network is in food, having both experiences at operating companies and at VC. She developed the world’s first 0.00% beer Kirin Free (completely non-alcoholic beer) in 2009, creating a $620M market in Japan. Bringing Blue Bottle Coffee to Japan, launching Stonemill Matcha brand flagship café in San Francisco, and growing Bokksu (Asian food D2C platform)’s business, she believes in the power of bridging culture through delivering innovative yet authentic food, culture, and experience to the world. She cultivated a wide and unique network in Japan and the U.S. Her network is beyond the food industry, reaching to lifestyle and technology in these two countries. As an immigrated Asian woman, Namiko overcame a lot of challenges as a minority leader in the U.S. and Japan. With experience leading Stanford Asian Career Circle as a Master of Facilitator and Co-Active coaching training, she started a coaching program for minority leaders. Seasons of Life, Namiko founded in 2023, is aiming to incubate global brands, product innovation, and minority leaders that she believes in.
梶原 奈美子氏 | Founder and CEO, Seasons of Life
2004年にユニリーバ入社、2006年にキリンビールに転職。2013年にスタンフォード大学MBA取得のため渡米。2015年より日米VCのWiLでPartnerとしてイノベー ション支援を行った後、 2021年より日本のお菓子や工芸品をサブスクリプションや越境 ECで販売するBokksuに入社。VP of Productとして、二つの新規事業を含む五つの事業を日米両チームを率いて統括した。代表的なプロジェクトとして、2009年世界初、アルコール0.00%「キリンフリー」上市。WiL在籍時の米国進出支援プロジェクトとして「 Stonemill Matcha」「ANA Air Restaurant」等。2021年「Bokksu Market」、2023年「Hello Kitty Bokksu Subscription Box」上市。「ウーマン・オブ・ザ・イヤー2010」受賞。2019年Stanford大学d.schoolゲスト講師。
