About Otomo Health
Otomo Health is a digital health startup spun out of MIT that leverages voice AI and machine learning to transform surgical and perioperative care. Its platform automates administrative workflows, enhances patient communication and preparation, and helps clinics operate at near-full surgical capacity — improving both patient outcomes and staff efficiency.
About Kiyo Takanishi
Kiyo started his career in biomedical engineering before transitioning to investment and business development at Mitsubishi Corporation. In 2021, he founded cotoceller.com, Japan’s largest hospital digital transformation platform, serving over 3,000 hospitals. He co-founded Otomo Health in 2024 while pursuing his MBA at MIT Sloan. Kiyo is passionate about improving healthcare efficiency through strategic innovation. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the MIT Sloan School of Management (2025), a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Waseda University (2017), and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia (2014).
