Columbia University Women’s Basketball Teamが、2026 Japan Tourの一環として来日します。Columbia University Alumni Association of Japan（CUAAJ）では、チームの東京滞在にあわせ、The Peninsula Tokyoにて歓迎レセプションを開催します。
当日は、Columbia Women’s Basketball Head CoachのMegan Griffith氏('07 CC)と、Columbia College ’09卒業生で、Niigata Albirex BB所属、元バスケットボール男子日本代表のKeijuro “KJ” Matsui氏によるFireside Conversationを予定しています。(Profile)
対談終了後は、立食ビュッフェとお飲み物を用意し、選手、コーチ陣、卒業生、ご家族、ご友人との交流の時間を設けます。

Event Overview
The Columbia University Women’s Basketball Team will visit Japan as part of its 2026 Japan Tour. To mark the team’s time in Tokyo, the Columbia University Alumni Association of Japan (CUAAJ) will host a welcome reception at The Peninsula Tokyo.
The program will feature a Fireside Conversation with Megan Griffith('07 CC), Head Coach of Columbia Women’s Basketball, and Keijuro “KJ” Matsui ’09CC of Niigata Albirex BB, a former member of the Japan Men’s National Team.
Following the conversation, guests will join members of the team, coaching staff, alumni, families, and friends for a standing buffet reception with beverages.

Note: Free-flow beverage service will be paused during the Fireside Conversation.
Registration
CUAAJ members who have paid the 2026 annual membership fee, including accompanying family members: ¥13,000 per person
All other guests: ¥15,000 per person
Registration deadline: Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Registration may close earlier if capacity is reached.
Registration and payment will be handled through Peatix.
A Special Evening Made Possible
With the support of The Peninsula Tokyo, the participation fee has been set to make the event accessible to a broader Columbia community.
Japan Tour Support (Optional)
Guests may add an optional Japan Tour Support contribution of ¥10,000 per unit. Multiple units are welcome. Support will help with the event and the community engagement surrounding the team’s Japan Tour. Japan Tour Support may also be selected without registering to attend the reception.
About CUAAJ
CUAAJ is the alumni association for Columbia University alumni based in Japan. Non-members are also welcome to attend this event. Information on CUAAJ membership and annual dues is available on the CUAAJ website.

Who may attend? Columbia University alumni, CUAAJ members, their families and friends, members of the Columbia Athletics community, and invited guests.
What is included? Admission to the Fireside Conversation, the standing buffet, and beverages.
May children attend? Yes. Families are welcome. Please obtain the appropriate number of Peatix tickets for all accompanying guests.
Could the program change? Yes. Speakers, timing, and program elements may change based on the team’s game and travel schedule.
